About the Role

LVI is partnering with a well‑established company that's looking to bring on an experienced, driven Land Development professional to lead and manage a variety of residential, institutional, and commercial projects throughout the Austin area. This role calls for someone with strong project management abilities, a solid foundation in civil engineering, and a thorough understanding of land entitlement processes. The ideal candidate will be comfortable coordinating across internal teams, external consultants, and local jurisdictions, ensuring projects move smoothly from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams to deliver land development plans for commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential clients, ensuring quality and consistency throughout each phase.
  • Oversee project execution from concept through construction, including budgeting, scheduling, client communication, regulatory coordination, and overall project performance.
  • Review and guide the technical work of junior engineers
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and local government officials, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring smooth progress through permitting and regulatory review.
  • Lead proposal development, scope creation, and fee estimates while identifying opportunities to expand client relationships and support business development efforts.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff by providing technical oversight, professional guidance, and opportunities for growth within the project team.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in land development, site/civil engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of Texas land development regulations, permitting processes, and utility coordination.
  • Proven track record managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with engineering plans, construction drawings, and related software.
  • Ability to provide a technical review of Civil Engineering deliverable
