Mechanical Designer
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic team at a firm specializing in healthcare design and engineering. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in mechanical systems design, a collaborative mindset, and a drive to engineer reliable and sustainable mechanical solutions for critical healthcare infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical system designs for healthcare facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas systems.
- Prepare detailed construction documents, specifications, and equipment schedules.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure integrated and efficient design solutions.
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and energy modeling as needed.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and coordination meetings.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within healthcare or institutional projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and building codes.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
- EIT certification or PE license is a plus.
