Role Summary
Support the delivery of mechanical engineering projects from concept through design under the guidance of senior engineers and project leads. This role offers hands-on experience across design, equipment specification, and project coordination within power generation projects, with opportunities to grow into technical ownership over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing mechanical designs, calculations, and specifications for plant systems and equipment
- Support preparation of data sheets, RFQs, and review of vendor submittals and technical documentation
- Coordinate with internal teams (civil, electrical, controls) to support integrated project delivery
- Contribute to plant layout development and basic stress analysis activities
- Perform quality checks on drawings and models to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards
- Assist in evaluating design changes and maintaining alignment with project scope and schedule
- Support field activities including site visits, construction coordination, and troubleshooting
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and client use
- Participate in project meetings and support communication with vendors and stakeholders
- Follow QA/QC procedures, safety standards, and engineering best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related)
- 0-4 years of mechanical engineering experience (internships/co-ops included)
- Exposure to power generation, industrial, or heavy infrastructure projects preferred
- Basic understanding of plant layout, or thermal systems is a plus
- Familiarity with 3D modeling or design tools (e.g., Navisworks, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
