Mechanical Project Manager - NY
Location Mineola, NY
Pay: up to $150K yearly salary DOE + Excellent benefits
Type: Full time permanent employment
Responsibilities And Duties
- Manage daily construction activities and project schedule, budget, safety and QA/QC
- Provide full administrative support to the energy engineering group to ensure smooth completion of various construction efforts.
- Assist with the organization, tracking, review, and disposition of various engineering and construction documents including RFI, Submittals, Shop drawings and change orders.
- Coordinate with designers, field service supervisors, contractors and clients to communicate project status and priorities.
- Attend construction progress meetings and site visits.
- Resolve on-site issues and manage risks mitigating negative impacts to project and client.
- Manage and coordinate Subcontractors.
- Support mechanical design professionals, also assist in project bidding and contractor evaluations.
- Submittals/AIA's/Purchase Orders/Insurance Certificates
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or similar degrees
- 2-5+ years of Construction Management Experience.
- Experience working with NY Power Authority, NYCHA, Army Corps of Engineers, GSA or similar agencies a plus
- FE/EIT Certification or CCM Certification is a plus but not required.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgement capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with computer aided drafting software, proficiency Auto cad and Revit preferred.
- Experience in Construction Management software, Procore ETC.
- Valid Driver's license in good standing.
