Mechanical Project Manager - Philadelphia, PA
POSITION SUMMARY
Our Project Managers are experienced in commercial HVAC and Mechanical Construction and enjoy the challenge of unique designs, projects, and deadlines. You will be able to run jobs big and small, coordinating multiple jobs simultaneously, while also providing leadership to project engineers and partnering with our field staff to ensure flawless project delivery. You will also manage project milestones, identifying and coordinating resource requirements. One of the most important skill sets you possess is the ability to exercise a high level of judgment and work autonomously within company processes. You are eager to learn from others at all levels of the organization. Your experience allows for a short learning curve, but you remain open to learning new things. In fact, you're excited to learn about the company, teams, and processes, and see opportunities to share your past knowledge to help your team succeed when appropriate. You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and execute all levels of project management activities and responsibilities; you're not someone who can't perform without support staff. Finally, you thrive in a collaborative environment and are looking to work with multiple teams to accomplish division and project goals.
What you'll do:
- Develop client relations by providing project status updates to clients and leadership.
- Manage budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc. for projects.
- Participate in project meetings with internal departments.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction of projects are on schedule.
- Develop budget analysis reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, and other reports as necessary.
- Delegate work and mentor Project Engineers. Provide coaching and performance feedback as needed.
What you'll need to be successful:
- Four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering, or applicable experience
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience
- Proven ability to manage small teams
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Strong financial acumen
- Excellent project management skills
- Experience managing subcontractors
- Strong computer skills, including CADD, ERP, and Microsoft Office products such as Excel
