Power Generation Engineer

A multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Civil Engineer to support renewable energy power generation initiatives, with opportunities to contribute to other regional infrastructure projects as needed. This role offers flexibility for remote or hybrid work arrangements and includes a potential sign-on incentive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to civil site design, permitting, and construction support for renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Begin developing skills in client engagement and business development.
  • Support project teams in planning and execution of engineering tasks.

Project Involvement May Include:

  • Site grading and layout plans
  • Erosion and sediment control design
  • Stormwater management systems
  • Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis
  • Utility coordination and relocation
  • Traffic control and access planning
  • Geotechnical investigations
  • Preparation of permit applications
  • Development of construction drawings and specifications
  • Cost estimation and quality control planning
  • Field assessments and construction support

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 4+ years in civil engineering or related field
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred

Technical Competencies:

  • Designs systems, components, or processes from concept to completion.
  • Prepares comprehensive project documentation.
  • Conducts technical investigations and interprets results.

Project & Team Leadership:

  • Assigns and oversees tasks for technical and support staff.
  • Coordinates detailed engineering activities.
  • Assists in developing project scopes, timelines, and budgets.
  • Supports proposal development for new projects.

Management & Mentorship:

  • Works under general guidance, with support on complex or novel challenges.
  • Provides mentorship and feedback to junior staff.
  • Participates in project meetings and presents technical content.

Communication Skills:

  • Effectively communicates with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates active listening and empathy in team interactions.
