Overview

Our client is seeking a motivated Senior Project Manager / Practice Builder to lead and expand their Renewable Energy Electrical Engineering practice. This role focuses on delivering high-quality electrical design and analysis for renewable generation, energy storage, EV charging infrastructure, and battery storage projects, while driving business growth and team development.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and analysis of complex electrical systems for renewable energy projects, including solar, battery storage, and EV infrastructure.
  • Review and develop design documents and reports: electrical layouts, schematics, block diagrams, system calculations, and one-line diagrams.
  • Prepare project specifications, electrical construction cost estimates, and proposals to support growth in electrical engineering services.
  • Collaborate daily with multi-disciplinary teams across multiple office locations.
  • Drive business development efforts to expand renewable energy services in local and national markets.
  • Leadership responsibilities include:
    • Providing vision, business planning, and strategy for the practice.
    • Establishing goals and building strong client relationships.
    • Managing projects profitably and transitioning work to qualified staff.
    • Mentoring and growing team members while fostering a positive culture.
  • Operate with integrity and sound business principles while maintaining open communication with partners and team members.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience managing electrical engineering projects, preferably in renewable energy.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • Strong understanding of NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor staff, direct resources effectively, and maintain profitability.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
