Overview
Our client is seeking a motivated Senior Project Manager / Practice Builder to lead and expand their Renewable Energy Electrical Engineering practice. This role focuses on delivering high-quality electrical design and analysis for renewable generation, energy storage, EV charging infrastructure, and battery storage projects, while driving business growth and team development.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of complex electrical systems for renewable energy projects, including solar, battery storage, and EV infrastructure.
- Review and develop design documents and reports: electrical layouts, schematics, block diagrams, system calculations, and one-line diagrams.
- Prepare project specifications, electrical construction cost estimates, and proposals to support growth in electrical engineering services.
- Collaborate daily with multi-disciplinary teams across multiple office locations.
- Drive business development efforts to expand renewable energy services in local and national markets.
- Leadership responsibilities include:
- Providing vision, business planning, and strategy for the practice.
- Establishing goals and building strong client relationships.
- Managing projects profitably and transitioning work to qualified staff.
- Mentoring and growing team members while fostering a positive culture.
- Operate with integrity and sound business principles while maintaining open communication with partners and team members.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience managing electrical engineering projects, preferably in renewable energy.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- Strong understanding of NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor staff, direct resources effectively, and maintain profitability.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
