Role Overview
This position is responsible for conducting surveys that support a wide range of civil engineering and land development projects, processing survey data using industry‑standard software, and preparing survey maps, reports, and related documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct boundary, cadastral, hydraulic, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys for both public and private sector projects.
  • Perform fieldwork using GPS, robotic total stations, and other surveying equipment to accurately collect and analyze data.
  • Prepare and review survey maps, legal descriptions, plats, and technical reports while ensuring compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Process survey data using software such as Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, developers, and government agencies to support land development, infrastructure, and construction initiatives.
  • Interpret and apply zoning laws, subdivision regulations, and property records to establish and verify land boundaries.
  • Review survey calculations, mapping accuracy, and data analysis for quality and consistency.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The individual in this role will work under the guidance of experienced project managers and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality work. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, highly organized, and committed to contributing positively to team goals.

Desired Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the relevant state.
  • 3+ years of experience as a licensed PLS preferred.
  • Associate's degree in surveying or a related field from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, along with experience using technical software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and Carlson Survey.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage workloads, deadlines, and client needs in a fast‑paced environment.
