Project Developer
A utility-scale IPP with operating assets across North America, is continuing to grow their presence in San Diego and accelerate their existing/growing business here in the US. They are currently looking for a Project Developer, with ideally 5-7 years of experience bringing projects through various development stages up to construction hand-off. This person will be based in San Diego, with a flexible/hybrid in-office schedule. Please note that remote candidates will not be considered at this time.
Ideal Candidate Criteria & Role Expectations:
- 5-7 years of utility-scale development across either wind, solar, and/or battery storage.
- Experience spanning from early-stage/greenfielding, through interconnection, permitting, financing, up to NTP or construction hand-off.
- Ability to independently manage projects, (budgets, schedules, external consultants etc.)
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, across finance, origination, engineering, pre-construction, legal, etc.
- Support M&A evaluation and due diligence, as well as meeting and negotiating with potential project landowners to acquire site control
