Project Manager - Healthcare

A leading firm in the AEC industry is seeking a seasoned Project Manager with a background in structural engineering to lead a high-value, compliance-driven project in California. The role involves managing all phases of a multi-million dollar initiative focused on seismic safety and healthcare infrastructure compliance, in alignment with state regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a large-scale structural engineering project with a focus on healthcare facility compliance and seismic safety.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including schedules and reports, using advanced spreadsheet tools.
  • Facilitate collaboration across internal teams and external partners such as architects, contractors, and owners.
  • Monitor financial performance, including budget tracking and expenditure reporting.
  • Ensure project milestones align with regulatory timelines and organizational objectives.
  • Lead regular meetings and drive communication across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Use Bluebeam for document control and collaborative workflows.
  • Proactively manage risks, resolve conflicts, and maintain project momentum.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience managing projects in the AEC industry, ideally involving design professionals.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with a proven ability to work independently.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam for document management.
  • Experience managing financials for complex, high-value projects.
  • Skilled in using communication platforms like Teams, Zoom, Slack, and email tools.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional initiatives and stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior involvement in projects regulated by California healthcare infrastructure authorities.
  • Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent credential.
