This role is ideal for a senior‑level mechanical engineer who enjoys both project management and hands‑on technical leadership. You'll take ownership of multiple projects, lead multidisciplinary teams, and play a key role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex MEP systems across a wide range of building types.
The firm works on projects throughout the U.S. and internationally, including healthcare, laboratories, higher education, embassies, corporate headquarters, multi‑family residential, K‑12, senior living, civic and cultural facilities, hospitality, retail, and large‑scale master planning efforts.
What you'll be doing
- Managing and delivering multiple MEP projects from planning through construction
- Collaborating with architects, owners, and consultants to define scope, budget, and schedules
- Supporting and contributing to mechanical system design in compliance with codes and best practices
- Coordinating internal and external stakeholders to keep projects on track
- Monitoring progress, identifying risks, and resolving issues proactively
- Conducting site visits to ensure construction aligns with design intent and quality standards
- Implementing QA/QC processes and maintaining clear project documentation
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting junior engineers
- Serving as a technical subject matter expert during client and team meetings
What they're looking for
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical or building systems preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in MEP design consulting
- Strong knowledge of building codes and industry standards
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Solid problem‑solving, decision‑making, and communication skills
Nice to have
- LEED® accreditation
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit
