Public Works Project Manager
Our client, a respected regional civil consulting firm in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking a Public Works Project Manager to lead infrastructure projects across municipal and agency clients. This role is ideal for a technically strong and client-focused engineer with a background in stormwater management, transportation design, and public utility systems.
You'll manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee project delivery, and serve as a trusted advisor to public sector clients. This is a leadership opportunity with room for growth in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead public infrastructure projects from planning through construction.
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, and client communications.
- Oversee design and permitting for stormwater systems, roadways, and utilities.
- Coordinate with municipalities, DOTs, and utility providers.
- Prepare and review PS&E packages, technical reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development.
- Support business development through proposals and client engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).
- PE license in a Pacific Northwest state (or ability to obtain).
- 7+ years of experience in public works design and project management.
- Strong technical background in stormwater, transportation, and utility design.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and relevant hydrology/hydraulics software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
