Retail Project Manager

Responsibilities
- Lead projects from early design through construction, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Manage and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing studio environment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Oversee the production and coordination of construction documents across disciplines.
- Direct project meetings, including internal coordination, client updates, and agency reviews.
- Navigate permitting processes and guide responses to jurisdictional comments.
- Coordinate closely with engineering consultants, landlords, and contractors.
- Oversee construction phase services, including RFIs, submittals, site visits, and field coordination.
- Monitor project financials, staffing needs, and resource allocation to maintain performance targets.
- Support business development efforts, including proposals, contracts, and identifying additional service opportunities.
- Provide regular project updates to senior leadership and contribute to hiring and team development efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 6+ years of experience managing commercial or retail-focused projects from concept through construction.
- Experience delivering multi-site or rollout programs, with the ability to adapt designs across jurisdictions.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and current building and accessibility codes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining clear communication and organization.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and developing team members.
- Strong client-facing skills and experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, and authorities having jurisdiction.
- Experience with project financial management, including budgeting, billing, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam; familiarity with SketchUp and Adobe tools preferred.
- Willingness to travel as needed for project support.
