Senior Bridge Engineer
A multidisciplinary national firm is seeking to add a Senior Bridge Engineer to their Detroit, Michigan leadership team! This firm combines the resources of a large nationwide company with the personalized feel of a regional office. The selected candidate will play a key technical leadership role in a variety of highway and transit bridge design and load rating projects for agencies such as MDOT and other regional transportation authorities.
In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of engineers in delivering design solutions for bridges, culverts, foundations, retaining walls, and other transportation-related infrastructure across Michigan and the Midwest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership on multiple projects of varying size and complexity
- Offer technical engineering expertise to project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure compliance with all engineering standards, codes, and specifications
- Review, analyze, and resolve field and design issues
- Mentor and guide project teams and support staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 12-15+ years of experience in bridge engineering
- Proven experience in the inspection and/or design of bridges, roadways, railroads, or related infrastructure
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) and/or Structural Engineer (S.E.) license required
- Familiarity with MDOT standards and procedures is a plus
