Senior Civil Engineer
We're working with an exciting client who's looking to expand their team by bringing on a Senior Civil Engineer to lead and support key water infrastructure projects in Wellington. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in hydraulic modelling and water pipeline design and delivery, looking to make a meaningful impact in the region's water sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and delivery of water infrastructure projects, with a focus on pipeline networks and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct and review hydraulic modelling to support planning, design, and optimisation of water assets.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, designers, and project managers.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
- Ensure compliance with local standards, environmental regulations, and client specifications.
- Engage with stakeholders, clients, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
Ideal Candidate:
- 8+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on water infrastructure.
- Strong background in hydraulic modelling software (e.g., InfoWorks, WaterGEMS, or similar).
- Proven experience in water pipeline design, construction, and asset management.
- Familiarity with New Zealand engineering standards and local authority requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Relevant engineering degree and Chartered status (or working towards it) preferred.
