Senior Civil Engineer - Water Infrastructure

My client is a global engineering consultancy, and a rapidly growing team specializing in water infrastructure, and we're excited to be expanding following the recent award of several key projects. As we continue to evolve, we're seeking strong Senior Civil Engineer with experience in Water Infrastructure to join the business.


This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of experienced engineers, delivering complex and impactful water infrastructure projects.

This role includes opportunities for project management and business development, with a clear pathway for career progression into more senior roles. We also offer flexible working arrangements, including remote work options, staggered hours, and additional purchased leave.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical civil engineering design and review for a variety of water infrastructure projects, with a focus on pump stations and treatment plant detailed designs, in line with statutory requirements and standards.
  • Manage project delivery to ensure high-quality outcomes within time and budget constraints, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated design solutions.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Uphold a commitment to excellence in all aspects of project delivery.

Key skillets:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 7 to 15+ years of experience in civil engineering within the water infrastructure sector, ideally in a consulting environment in Australia.
  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • MRWA design accreditation (highly desirable).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical reports and presentations.
  • Experience with major infrastructure projects and familiarity with relevant state agencies (preferred)
