We are looking for a Senior Civil Project Manager to join a collaborative team in Chicago, IL. This role is pivotal in leading and supporting design, permitting, and client management efforts for a variety of land development projects. You'll work closely with industry leaders on diverse, high-profile projects and have the opportunity to shape growth strategies while mentoring staff.
Responsibilities
- Design and permit residential, institutional, commercial, warehouse/distribution, and mixed-use projects for public and private clients
- Collaborate with leadership to develop growth plans and optimise staff utilisation
- Engage in business development by cultivating new client relationships and maintaining existing ones
- Lead site/civil design efforts from concept through completion, including site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control
- Oversee stormwater management design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, and SWPPP preparation
- Integrate geotechnical and environmental engineering into land development projects
- Perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 10+ years of site/civil engineering experience with a focus on land development
- Professional Engineering license
- Expertise in site layout, grading, drainage, and infrastructure design
- Strong client development and management skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D preferred
- Active participation in professional organizations
- Excellent technical and proposal writing skills
- Strong communication, analytical, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
