Their services are powered by a proprietary software platform that enables data-driven decision-making in carbon and energy markets.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Consultant - Carbon Advisory to join their Sydney/Melbourne office. This role focuses on Australia's carbon market, supporting both demand and supply-side stakeholders. You will work within a dynamic 3-4 person project team, advising carbon project developers and buyers on commercialization strategies, market engagement, and capital structuring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise carbon project developers on commercialization strategies, including buyer identification, investment risk assessment, and capital raising.
  • Lead competitive offtake processes for ACCUs, including offer solicitation, shortlisting, and recommendation.
  • Own and maintain the proprietary ACCU price forecast model and scenario analysis.
  • Deliver client projects with a focus on execution and strategic outcomes.
  • Support business development activities such as proposal and pitch creation.
  • Mentor junior team members including analysts and consultants.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 4-6 years of experience in Australia's carbon sector, working with carbon project developers or Safeguard Mechanism entities.
  • Exposure to international carbon markets (especially Asia) is a plus.
  • Strong project delivery and management skills.
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills (Excel proficiency required; programming experience is a bonus).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Prior consulting or advisory experience is preferred.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive and self-starting approach.
