Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Estimator in Cleveland, OH. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate electrical cost estimates for a variety of construction projects, including design-build, conceptual, and competitive bid work. Your expertise will directly support project planning, execution, and overall business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive electrical estimates for projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Interpret and analyze electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine material, labor, and equipment needs.
  • Calculate cost factors to support project planning, scheduling, and vendor selection.
  • Prepare and issue RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope and budget.
  • Utilize estimating software such as Accubid to perform detailed take-offs and pricing.
  • Continuously review and refine estimating practices to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve accuracy.
  • Assist in determining indirect costs, overheads, and risk factors.
  • Mentor and support junior estimators, providing guidance on best practices and technical knowledge.
  • Contribute to company goals through additional tasks and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 25+ years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably in sectors such as automotive, data centers, or heavy industrial.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and construction documentation.
  • Familiarity with NEC standards, trade scopes, and bid submission protocols.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experienced with Accubid or similar estimating software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
