Senior Land Development, Project Manager
LVI is working with a nationally leading multi-disciplinary firm with around 1,600+ employees across 40+ US offices, where they promote an entrepreneurial culture. This firm provides expert land development engineering services for major developers, healthcare systems, colleges/universities, and large infrastructure programs throughout the US.
This firm is looking for an engineer who has 8+ years of experience in land development and can oversee planning, design, entitlement, and execution of land development projects. This engineer with have a strong background in residential, commercial or mixed-use development projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant degree
- Professional Engineer License.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in land development.
- Proven track record managing large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
- In-depth knowledge of land entitlement, permitting, engineering design, and construction processes.
- Strong understanding of local land use regulations, environmental laws, and development standards.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficient in project management software and CAD/Civil 3D.
- Relationship-builder with municipal agencies and consultants.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset
Brief Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all phases of land development projects, including due diligence, design, entitlement, permitting, and construction oversight.
- Coordinate with internal departments (Acquisitions, Construction, Legal, and Sales) and external consultants.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and scopes of work.
- Prepare and present project updates, forecasts, and reports to senior leadership.
- Interface with local municipalities, utility providers, and regulatory agencies to secure necessary approvals and permits.
- Review and approve engineering plans, plats, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Mentor and guide junior project managers and support staff.
- Ensure project compliance with zoning, environmental regulations, and company standards.
- Conduct business development - maintaining relationships with current client and new prospective clients.
