Salary: 175 - 200k
A nationally leading company is currently seeking a driven, passionate and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to provide conceptual designs and direct work-flow at their Phoenix office. You will play a key role in transforming building designs, improving profitability for clients through sustainable, and integrated solutions for critical facilities, such as hospitals and universities. Their collaborative, whole-building approach emphasizes efficiency and long-term performance.
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for:
- Preparing preliminary redline design layouts for estimating
- Performing complex calculations for a project, such as heating/cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, friction loss calculations, etc.
- Serving as design professional at project team design meetings
- Performing site inspections to determine compliance with construction documents
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Four-year degree in Engineering or related field and 5+ years of experience
- PE license required
- Excellent knowledge of applicable systems design, such as HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as general understanding of systems operations
- Ideal candidate located in Phoenix, Arizona
- Strong skills in CADD and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel
