Senior Project Manager
About the Role
A top Engineering firm is seeking an experienced Water Resources Senior Project Manager to join the team in Atlant, Georgia. This position will lead complex and varied water resources projects, providing technical expertise and project oversight from early planning through final design. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in municipal infrastructure, stormwater systems, hydrology and hydraulics, watershed modeling, and related water resources engineering disciplines.
You will work closely with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams to ensure high‑quality project delivery-on time, within budget, and in alignment with industry best practices.
Responsibilities
Technical & Project Leadership
- Lead the planning, analysis, and design of water resources projects, including stormwater systems, watershed studies, flood mitigation, green infrastructure, and stream restoration.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling from conceptual design through final engineering.
- Prepare technical reports, planning documents, proposals, specifications, and contract documents.
- Guide project workflow, ensuring technical accuracy, quality standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Client & Agency Coordination
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and project partners.
- Support public meetings, permitting processes, and project presentations when needed.
- Maintain strong client relationships and assist with identifying new project opportunities.
Team Collaboration
- Provide direction to engineering staff, designers, and support personnel.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development within the team.
- Support project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning for assigned projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- Strong proficiency in water resources engineering principles, including hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (e.g., HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, SWMM, etc.).
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with CAD platforms; familiarity with GIS or modeling software preferred.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Must present valid U.S. work authorization.
