Senior SCADA Automation Engineer
Job Title: SCADA Automation Engineer II / III
Location: Remote (with 10-15% travel to client sites as needed)
Overview:
A leading provider of industrial automation solutions is seeking a SCADA Automation Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of control systems across a range of industrial environments. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge GE Proficy technologies and contribute to high-impact projects in a collaborative, engineering-driven culture. The position level (Engineer II or III) will be determined based on the candidate's experience and technical depth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain SCADA systems using GE Proficy iFIX
- Configure and manage GE Proficy Historian for data acquisition and analysis
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to deliver automation solutions
- Provide on-site support for system commissioning, troubleshooting, and upgrades
- Participate in project planning, documentation, and client communications
- Ensure systems comply with industry standards and best practices
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience with GE Proficy iFIX
- 5+ years of experience with GE Proficy Historian
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with GE Proficy CIMPLICITY
- Familiarity with GE Proficy Plant Applications and other GE Proficy tools
- PLC programming experience
- Background in industrial automation and control systems
