A growing, employee‑owned engineering consulting firm is seeking a skilled Professional Engineer with strong project management experience to join its Chattanooga, Tennessee office. This firm specializes in municipal infrastructure with expertise spanning water, wastewater, site development, stormwater, solid waste, and environmental engineering.
As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality projects, supporting client relationships, and contributing to the pursuit and execution of municipal infrastructure initiatives across the Chattanooga region.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and manage stormwater, utility, and site development projects from concept through completion
- Oversee technical deliverables, including designs, feasibility studies, calculations, and engineering reports
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, supporting their professional growth
- Ensure project compliance, quality, scheduling, and budget adherence
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Strong foundation in water resources engineering principles
- Proven ability to convey technical concepts to project managers, clients, and stakeholders
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and stormwater design tools
- Valid authorization to work in the United States
