Senior Structural Engineer
A leading industrial manufacturer is seeking experienced and motivated Structural Engineers with a strong background in designing structures that endure pressure to join their growing engineering team in Kansas City. This is an exciting opportunity to work on technically complex projects involving machine track foundations and heavy rotating equipment, supporting capital investments, maintenance upgrades, and facility expansions.
You'll be part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team delivering structural solutions that directly impact production performance and reliability. This role offers the chance to work on-site at manufacturing facilities, contributing to the full project lifecycle-from concept through construction and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare reports, design criteria, estimates, designs and drawings
- Make calculations about pressures, loads and stresses
- Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction
- Obtain planning and/or building regulations approval
- Liaise with clients and professional staff such as architects and engineers
- Monitor and inspect all work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness
- Inspect geotechnical properties to evaluate the conditions and foundations
- Use computer aided design technology for simulation purposes
What They're Looking For
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Experience in industrial civil engineering.
- Experience in STAAD, AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with steel, concrete and masonry
- Experience in heavy to light industrial projects
- Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials and legal regulations
- Will need to be a good communicator and able to manage multiple projects and clients at a time
