Senior Superintendent
A leading heavy civil contractor is seeking a Senior Superintendent to oversee water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Texas.
This role is responsible for leading field operations on large, complex treatment plant and pipeline projects, ensuring safe execution, schedule adherence, and high-quality delivery. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in civil construction with a strong background in water/wastewater facilities and proven leadership of large field teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all on-site construction activities for water and wastewater treatment plants, lift stations, and related infrastructure
- Manage superintendents, foremen, and craft personnel to ensure safe and productive operations
- Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with project management to meet milestones and deadlines
- Enforce strict safety standards and promote a culture of accountability and compliance
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspection agencies to ensure quality and timely execution
- Review drawings, specifications, and plans to proactively identify and resolve constructability issues
- Track daily production, costs, and field reporting to support project performance
- Interface with owners, engineers, and inspectors to maintain strong relationships and project alignment
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience, with a strong focus on water/wastewater projects
- Proven experience as a lead or senior superintendent on large municipal projects ($50M+)
- Deep knowledge of treatment plant construction (concrete structures, mechanical systems, piping, etc.)
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive performance in the field
- Ability to manage multiple scopes, subcontractors, and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Texas municipal clients and regulatory requirements is preferred
- OSHA 30 (or higher) strongly preferred
