Senior Transportation Design Engineer/Manager

Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare preliminary design reports, design plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates
- Demonstrate experience with various transportation design standards, including:
- Caltrans Highway Design Manual (HDM)
- Project Development Procedures Manual (PDPM)
- Caltrans Standard Plans
- California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (CAMUTCD)
- AASHTO Greenbook
- Coordinate with environmental, construction, and other technical disciplines
- Support public outreach efforts for transportation projects
- Mentor and train junior staff
Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of California
- 8+ years of experience in transportation design engineering
- Demonstrated progression in project management responsibilities.
- Experience in preparing and contributing to project proposals.
