Senior Project Manager - Water Resources (Irvine or San Diego)
Position Summary:
A forward-thinking consulting firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead water resources projects in the San Diego region. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering sustainable infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee water resources projects including stormwater systems, flood control, watershed planning, and hydraulic modeling.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams through all phases of project delivery-from planning and design to permitting and construction support.
- Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring satisfaction, quality, and timely delivery.
- Develop scopes, budgets, and schedules for complex projects.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development and technical excellence.
- Support business development efforts and proposal preparation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in California.
- 10+ years of experience in water resources engineering and project management.
- Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, InfoWorks).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience working with local agencies and regulatory bodies in Southern California.
