Site/Civil Pracitce Leader
A growing, nationally recognised engineering and environmental consulting firm is looking to hire a Site/Civil Practice Leader to establish and expand its presence in the Cincinnati market.
This is not a maintenance hire. It is a build and lead opportunity, backed by an existing regional platform, strong client relationships, and executive support.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the intersection of technical leadership, client development, and strategic growth.
You will have the autonomy to:
- Build and lead a local site civil team
- Develop and expand relationships with developers and corporate clients
- Shape the direction of a growing Midwest presence
- Work across a diverse portfolio of high-profile land development projects
The firm operates as a full lifecycle partner, supporting projects from early feasibility and due diligence through design, permitting, and construction.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead site/civil design across a variety of development projects from concept through completion
- Drive business development and build long-term client relationships
- Develop growth strategies alongside regional leadership
- Build, mentor, and scale a local team
- Oversee technical delivery including grading, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure design
- Support proposals, client presentations, and strategic pursuits
What They're Looking For
- 10+ years of site civil / land development experience
- Strong background in private sector development (residential, commercial, industrial)
- Proven client-facing experience and ability to develop new work
- Experience leading teams and mentoring engineers
- PE license preferred
- Strong understanding of site design, permitting, and full project lifecycle
