Our client, a mission-driven company in the clean energy and transportation sector, is seeking a Strategic Transactions Manager to join their Finance team. This organization provides a comprehensive, service-based solution to accelerate the transition to electric heavy-duty vehicles across North America. By bundling financing, vehicle procurement, infrastructure upgrades, and maintenance, they make electrification accessible and scalable for public and private fleets.

Role Summary
The Strategic Transactions Manager will support and lead various aspects of corporate and project-level financing, including debt and equity raises, government funding initiatives, and tax credit sales. The role involves deep financial modeling, transaction structuring, investor engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Ideal candidates will have a background in capital markets, project finance, or corporate finance within sectors like renewables, infrastructure, or transportation-and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Execution
Build and manage advanced financial models to support capital raises, government funding programs, and tax credit transactions
Lead or support the end-to-end transaction process: sourcing, diligence, document negotiation, and execution
Collaborate with external stakeholders including banks, investors, consultants, and public agencies
Prepare investment materials and lead internal approvals through the Investment Committee
Manage datarooms, term sheet negotiations, and transaction timelines
Represent the company in discussions with entities such as green banks, state programs, and federal funding agencies
Strategic Finance & Analysis
Analyze new markets, competitors, and investment opportunities
Partner with internal teams (e.g., fleet operations, business development) to evaluate strategic initiatives
Assess macroeconomic impacts (e.g., tax changes, interest rates) on the company's capital strategy
Identify and engage potential buyers for transferable tax credits and execute transactions
Qualifications
~4+ years of experience in finance-related roles such as project finance, investment banking, private equity, or structured finance
Sector experience in energy, transportation, infrastructure, or related capital-intensive industries preferred
Expert-level Excel and financial modeling skills; strong PowerPoint proficiency
Proven experience working on complex transactions involving multiple internal and external stakeholders
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to synthesize and explain financial concepts to diverse audiences
Candidates may be asked to complete a modeling exercise and provide a transaction history
Compensation
$145,000 - $155,000 base salary, plus performance-based bonus
