Position Overview:
A growing engineering team is seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to support the design and analysis of commercial and residential building structures. This role involves collaborating with project stakeholders, ensuring code compliance, and delivering high-quality structural solutions.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct site inspections and evaluate contractor work for compliance with design specifications and building codes.
- Lead and coordinate structural engineering projects from planning through execution.
- Prepare project reports and ensure adherence to contract requirements.
- Communicate with contractors and design professionals regarding project timelines, costs, and staffing.
- Provide technical input on design, construction, and structural modifications.
- Develop construction documents including framing plans, foundation details, and specifications.
- Perform structural analysis using 2D and 3D modeling tools.
- Design structures using wood, steel, concrete, and masonry in accordance with IBC 2015 & ASCE 7-10.
- Draft structural plans and details based on engineering calculations and design concepts.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of structural engineering experience.
- Strong foundation in Statics, Mechanics of Materials, and Structural Analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Enercalc, RAM Steel, and RAM Elements.
- Familiarity with construction practices and CAD tools.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Office-based work environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
