Structural Project Engineer
A full-service AEC firm based in Tacoma, WA with a growing structural engineering practice and a strong foothold in the Pacific Northwest. The firm operates across multiple disciplines with a stable, well-developed project pipeline anchored by public sector work -- think infrastructure, civic, and institutional projects that make a real impact on the communities they serve. You'd be joining a small, tight-knit structural team within a larger organization that has the resources and relationships to keep the work flowing.
About the role
This is a core engineering position for someone who wants to plant roots in the PNW market and grow alongside a team that has the pipeline to back it up. You'll work across a range of public projects from early design through construction administration, with exposure to the full project lifecycle and a group that values technical depth. PE licensure is preferred, but the firm is open to candidates actively on the path.
Responsibilities
  • Perform structural analysis and design across public, civic, and institutional project types
  • Prepare and review construction documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Coordinate with architects, civil, and other discipline leads throughout design and construction phases
  • Support construction administration including RFI responses and submittal reviews
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment and mentor junior staff as appropriate
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of structural engineering experience
  • PE licensure preferred; EIT with strong trajectory considered
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software
  • Experience on public sector or institutional projects a plus
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Tacoma, WA area
