A highly respected engineering group in Southern California is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join a team known for solving complex, technical challenges across many industries. This team blends structural engineering, materials science, advanced simulation, and creative problem solving to address unique issues in critical infrastructure. If you enjoy work that is both intellectually demanding and deeply meaningful, this is a strong opportunity.

About the Role
You will partner closely with the Principal in Orange County to lead technical delivery across a wide range of specialty projects. Work typically includes advanced finite element modeling, structural dynamics, seismic analysis for extreme events, design of equipment supports, vibration mitigation, impact and blast assessments, testing and qualification programs, and other assignments that require both analytical depth and practical engineering judgment. The work serves agencies, utilities, owners, and research groups, so collaboration with a broad set of stakeholders is part of daily life.

Typical Project Areas

  • Buildings and bridges
  • Pipelines and storage systems
  • Nuclear and energy facilities
  • Research and government structures
  • Rotating and vibrating machinery
  • Precision, specialty, and non building infrastructure
  • Impact, blast, and high hazard evaluations

What You Will Do

  • Lead design and analysis efforts focused on constructability, simplicity, and risk informed criteria
  • Tackle engineering challenges involving safety, performance, natural hazards, and regulatory requirements
  • Support concept and detailed design for mission critical facilities including advanced energy, government, healthcare, and defense work
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage major engineering projects or several smaller ones with complex features
  • Supervise and mentor engineers and technicians, manage workloads, and help maintain internal standards
  • Conduct reviews of technical deliverables and collaborate with the Principal for alignment
  • Prepare major reports and detailed project documentation
  • Help define scopes and budgets, and deliver projects on time, on budget, and at a high level of quality
  • Prepare proposals for complex assignments and work directly with clients
  • Support contract discussions and risk related considerations

What You Bring

  • At least eight years of relevant civil or structural engineering experience
  • Professional engineering license
  • MS or PhD in civil or structural engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • High ethical standards and an interest in supporting others
  • Ability to solve advanced technical challenges and think creatively
  • A track record of professional involvement, publications, or industry engagement
  • Commitment to quality, thoroughness, and continued learning
  • Valid driver's license

Why This Role Stands Out
This group is known for technical excellence and for offering work that is genuinely challenging and rewarding. You will be surrounded by thoughtful engineers who value curiosity, mentorship, and long term career growth. The projects are varied, the standards are high, and the culture encourages continuous learning.

If this sounds like the right environment for you, do not hesitate to apply.
