Project Overview

A large-scale joint venture has been awarded a multibillion-dollar contract to deliver a major infrastructure development project. This initiative involves complex civil construction work and represents one of the most significant undertakings of its kind in the region. The project spans several miles and includes extensive structural, environmental, and logistical components.

We are currently looking for a Subcontract Manager to oversee the commercial, administrative, and contractual aspects of a multi-entity design partnership. This role is critical in ensuring effective contract execution, change management, and coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary advisor on legal and contractual matters related to the design partnership agreement.
  • Support technical leadership in managing contract correspondence, claims analysis, change orders, and invoice verification.
  • Assist in the administration of engineering support services during the construction phase, including coordination with both internal design teams and external client representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and contribute to the resolution of commercial and technical issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Legal degree, Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract administration, particularly involving design consultants and major subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of technical and design-build project delivery methods.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with executive leadership and communicate effectively across disciplines.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to interpret broader business implications.
  • Experience working on joint venture construction projects.
  • Professional fluency in English.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in multicultural or international project environments.

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000 annually

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced and complex project setting.
  • May require use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and high-visibility vests during site visits.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequent walking and standing in both office and field settings.
  • Occasional climbing and bending may be required.
