A leading solar and high-voltage electrical contractor is seeking a Substation Project Manager to oversee the execution of utility-scale substation projects in Bethel, NC. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for a seasoned professional passionate about renewable energy and infrastructure development.
Role Overview:
The Substation Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of high-voltage substation construction, from planning and scheduling to execution and closeout. This includes coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on-site project execution for high-voltage substations
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical standards
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams
- Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders
- Provide technical oversight and resolve field issues as needed
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in substation or high-voltage project management
- Background in solar energy or utility-scale electrical infrastructure
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
- PMP certification or equivalent is a plus
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in Bethel, NC
