Position: Licensed Land Surveyor - Team Lead
Location: Texas (Multiple Locations Available)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Hybrid/On-Site
We are currently seeking a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in Texas to work across a variety of infrastructure and land development projects. This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape project outcomes, mentor staff, and contribute to the growth of our surveying practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage field and office survey teams on transportation, municipal, and private development projects.
- Oversee the preparation of boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction staking surveys.
- Ensure compliance with Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (TBPELS) standards.
- Review and sign survey plats, legal descriptions, and other deliverables.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
- Mentor junior staff and support professional development within the team.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for survey projects.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas RPLS license required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in land surveying, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proficiency with survey software such as Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or MicroStation.
- Strong understanding of Texas surveying laws, standards, and practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
