Position Overview

As a Survey Technician, you will play a key role in both field and office operations, supporting land survey projects from start to finish. You'll work on a variety of local projects and assist with California-based assignments, gaining hands-on experience with advanced surveying technologies and methods.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform field surveys including staking boundary lines and construction layouts
  • Assist with ALTA, topographical, boundary, and subdivision surveys
  • Operate and maintain surveying instruments and equipment
  • Collect and process data for LIDAR scanning and 3D modeling
  • Prepare as-built documentation including floorplans and elevations
  • Collaborate with team members to produce interactive plans and panoramic visualizations
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications and industry standards

Qualifications

  • Experience or education in land surveying or related field preferred
  • Familiarity with surveying instruments and software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and travel locally as needed
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
