Traffic Design Engineer
A well-established engineering firm with over five decades of experience in civil engineering, planning, surveying, and environmental solutions is seeking a Project Engineer specializing in traffic engineering. The organization is recognized for delivering innovative, sustainable infrastructure and supporting diverse projects across municipal, residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program
- 0-10 years of design experience
- Experience in traffic or highway engineering
- Proficiency with MicroStation, Civil 3D, Synchro, and MS Office preferred
- FE/EIT certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on traffic and highway engineering design projects, applying general engineering principles and practices
- Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments with limited supervision
- Prepare roadway plans, traffic signal plans, signing and pavement marking plans, ADA compliance plans, maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT) plans, and detour plans
- Develop construction cost estimates, prepare specifications, and conduct traffic safety and impact studies
- Maintain effective communication, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and foster strong client relationships
- Experience working with local clients at township, county, and state levels is preferred
