Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Transportation Director to lead and grow our Indiana transportation practice. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with deep knowledge of INDOT processes, a strong network in the region, and a passion for delivering high-impact transportation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for transportation operations across Indiana
- Build and maintain strong relationships with INDOT, local agencies, and industry partners
- Oversee project delivery, quality, and profitability across a portfolio of transportation projects
- Lead business development efforts, including proposal strategy and client engagement
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of engineers, project managers, and technical staff
- Collaborate with other regional and national leaders to align with firm-wide goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana required
- 15+ years of progressive experience in transportation engineering, including leadership roles
- Proven track record of successful project delivery and client development, particularly with INDOT
- Strong business acumen and team leadership skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
