Transportation Planning PM/Senior Project Engineer (7+ Years' Experience) | Owning MIlls, MD
A well-established transportation consulting firm is looking to add a Transportation Planning Project Manager / Senior Project Engineer to its growing team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and support a variety of multi-modal transportation planning and infrastructure projects throughout the region.
What They're Looking For:
- 7+ years of transportation planning and/or engineering experience
- PE and/or AICP preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Experience with CADD (AutoCAD or MicroStation) and/or GIS
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with transportation agency planning and design standards
- Familiarity with NEPA documentation, agency coordination, public involvement, and environmental review processes
- Experience supporting corridor studies, feasibility studies, transit planning, complete streets initiatives, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, ADA compliance, and cost estimating
- Exposure to traffic analysis, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, environmental studies, or related planning and engineering disciplines is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in the development of multi-modal transportation planning and engineering projects
- Prepare technical reports, exhibits, studies, and client deliverables
- Participate in project management, quality control, and stakeholder coordination efforts
- Mentor and support junior staff, including engineers, planners, survey professionals, environmental specialists, and technical staff
- Assist with proposal development, client relationship management, and subconsultant coordination
