About the Role: Associate Electrical Engineer We are seeking an experienced electrical engineer with specialized expertise in power systems analysis and electrical modeling. This role focuses on conducting Short Circuit Coordination Studies and Arc Flash Hazard Analysis using SKM Power Tools, as well as leading thermal modeling for buried conductors using tools such as Ampcalc, Cymcap, and proprietary software.
You will play a key role in mentoring staff, sharing knowledge, and driving proficiency in electrical modeling tools across the firm. This position offers the chance to influence design standards, contribute to technical excellence, and work on projects that shape the future of the built environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform power system studies including short circuit, coordination, and arc flash analysis.
- Collaborate with designers to optimize electrical systems for safety and performance.
- Conduct on-site surveys and review shop drawings to ensure compliance.
- Lead training initiatives for SKM and related software.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders and maintain firmwide design standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design and power systems analysis.
- Proficiency in SKM Power Tools and familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of codes, documentation standards, and construction administration processes.
