A well-established general contractor with offices across Montana is looking for an experienced Traveling Bridge Superintendent to join their growing team. This role involves managing bridge construction projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while traveling to various job sites throughout Montana.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead and supervise all on-site bridge construction activities.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and project specifications.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource needs.
- Conduct site inspections and enforce quality control measures.
- Troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions on-site.
- Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
- 5+ years in bridge construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience with DOT projects, structural concrete, formwork, and steel erection.
- Familiarity with MDT (Montana Department of Transportation) standards is a plus.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Montana (up to 100% travel).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Comfortable using construction management software and digital tools.
