Responsibilities
- Manage transportation projects from start to finish, spanning small roadway improvements to large, multi‑disciplinary corridor and interchange programs.
- Oversee project planning, track schedules and budgets, and coordinate resources to ensure work is delivered on time and to quality standards.
- Work closely with cross‑functional technical teams to ensure seamless integration and project consistency.
- Support business development activities by contributing to strategies for upcoming transportation pursuits.
- Participate in proposal development, including writing content, attending interviews, defining project scopes, estimating fees, and assisting with negotiations.
- Act as the primary client contact, building strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction throughout each project.
- Represent the firm at public meetings, industry events, conferences, and stakeholder discussions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Active Illinois Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience designing, managing, and delivering transportation projects within Illinois.
- Experience serving as Project Manager on IDOT projects.
- Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex project workflows.
- Proven ability to work independently while guiding multi‑disciplinary project teams.
- Experience working with agencies such as the Illinois Tollway, county transportation departments, or local municipalities.
- Knowledge of alternative delivery methods is a plus.
