Civil Engineer - Construction Project Engineer
We are seeking to hire a full-time, highly motivated Civil Engineer with a construction background or transportation emphasis. Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will provide transportation construction engineering support in Northeast and/or North Central Wisconsin by managing projects, supervising construction activities, conducting inspections, and performing other related tasks. Responsibilities include:
- Perform construction observation of sanitary sewers, storm sewers, water mains, street construction including curb and gutter, asphalt pavement, concrete sidewalk, and pavement.
- Maintain project records, including daily observation logs, time and materials records, and as-built drawings.
- Communicate and coordinate with project participants including project owners, project managers, contractors, and materials testing laboratories.
Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a transportation or construction emphasis.
- Ability to obtain a Wisconsin Engineer in Training (EIT) license after graduation.
- Experience with construction schedules, construction inspection, construction plans, estimating, FieldManager or AASHTOWare, and AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship for work visas is not available.
