Looking for a civil engineer in Fullerton, CA who can lead the technical delivery of public infrastructure projects. This role suits someone who is comfortable owning design work, guiding junior staff, and coordinating with municipal clients. The firm is a a mid size company that has a great reputation across California and is expanding their footprint in Orange County.
Role Overview
- Develop design packages from early concepts through detailed plans and quantities that support PS&E submittals
* Use engineering judgment and calculations to resolve design issues while aligning with established standards
* Prepare technical reports across stormwater systems, water and wastewater infrastructure, roadway and bikeway improvements, site grading, pipelines, and related utility work
* Produce design drawings and modeling in Civil 3D, including alignments, profiles, cross sections, and earthwork estimates
* Apply HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS for hydrologic and hydraulic analysis
* Collaborate with project managers, multidisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders
* Deliver work that meets quality expectations while staying aligned with schedule and budget parameters
Qualifications
- PE license
* Ten to fifteen years of experience as a civil engineer
* Hands-on experience with public infrastructure design
* Proficiency in Civil 3D
* Experience with HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
