Civil Engineer / Civil Designer

📍 Dallas-Fort Worth, TX (Preferred) | Hybrid Opportunity

A growing engineering consulting firm focused on Utility Scale PV & BESS projects is seeking a Civil Engineer or Civil Designer with 1-4 years of experience to join its expanding team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of site development and infrastructure projects, including renewable energy developments and land development initiatives. Additionally. there is extensive growth opportunitiy in this role to move Project Management or Design Lead.

Responsibilities

Prepare and modify civil engineering plans, drawings, and construction documents.
Develop grading, drainage, utility, and site layout designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Support project teams through planning, design, permitting, and construction phases.
Coordinate with engineers, designers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
Assist with technical analyses, calculations, and project documentation.
Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.

Qualifications

1-4 years of civil engineering or civil design experience.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
Experience in renewable energy projects and/or land development is highly preferred.
Understanding of grading, drainage, utility design, and site development principles.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering preferred; equivalent design experience will also be considered.
EIT certification is a plus but not required.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Background

Experience supporting solar, battery storage, wind, or other renewable energy projects.
Land development design experience for commercial, industrial, or mixed-use projects.
Candidates located in or near the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex are strongly preferred.
