What You'll Do
- Design electrical power distribution, communications, and interior/exterior lighting systems for new construction and renovation projects.
- Develop engineering plans, specifications, calculations, and construction documents.
- Perform electrical studies including short-circuit, voltage drop, and coordination analyses.
- Prepare technical reports, construction specifications, project budgets, and schedules.
- Lead design efforts through schematic design, design development, and construction phases.
- Coordinate closely with architects, mechanical engineers, utility providers, contractors, and clients.
- Conduct construction administration activities, including submittal review, site visits, and punch-list preparation.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality engineering standards.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Strong EIT candidates nearing licensure will also be considered.
- 5+ years of consulting engineering experience.
- Experience designing building electrical systems, power distribution, and lighting systems.
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience using electrical analysis software such as SKM, EasyPower, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, and applicable building codes.
- Experience with federal, government, or secure facility projects is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to obtain required security clearance and federal facility access.
