My client is looking for a Transportation Project Manager to join their growing team in Illinois. Your Role & Impact
As a Transportation Project Manager, you will lead the design and development of a wide range of transportation projects for State, County, Tollway, and Local Agencies. This role is ideal for a motivated engineer with a strong background in IDOT Phase I and II projects and a passion for delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage engineering plans and specifications using IDOT standards
- Oversee Federal Aid Phase I and II projects for various public sector clients
- Direct roadway, utility, drainage, traffic, and infrastructure improvement projects
- Provide general civil engineering services to municipal, county, and state clients
- Support business development and client relationship efforts (preferred, not required)
- Assist in proposal development, contract preparation, and project interviews
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- 8+ years of experience in roadway and infrastructure design using IDOT standards
- Proficiency in IDOT Phase I Reports and/or Phase II bid documents
- Experience with MicroStation/Geopak and understanding of IDOT workflows preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Ability to travel throughout the Illinois service area (must have own transportation)
