Overview:
LVI is partnered with a leading engineering consultancy, who is seeking a skilled and proactive Project Geotechnical Engineer to join its collaborative team. This role involves delivering geotechnical expertise across a variety of infrastructure and development projects, with opportunities to contribute to both small-scale and large-scale initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct advanced geotechnical analyses, including structural design of foundation systems and ground support solutions.
  • Prepare and oversee technical documentation such as proposals, reports, construction plans, and correspondence.
  • Supervise field investigations and monitor earthwork and foundation construction activities.
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring delivery within budget, schedule, and scope.
  • Develop and track project budgets, schedules, and progress reports.
  • Support billing processes including drafting invoices and change orders.
  • Provide mentorship and oversight to junior engineering staff.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering; Master's degree with a geotechnical focus preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant geotechnical experience.
  • At least 3 years of field experience in geotechnical investigations and construction observation, including deep foundations, ground improvement, and excavation support.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce technical reports, specifications, and geotechnical recommendations.
  • Experience in project coordination, client management, and team leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software and tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Valid driver's license / ability to travel to project sites and client meetings.
