About the Opportunity
A leading smart buildings and building automation organization is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of Building Automation System (BAS) projects across the Greater Atlanta market.
This position is ideal for a professional with a strong controls background who enjoys managing projects from kickoff through completion while collaborating with customers, subcontractors, technicians, engineers, and executive stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving project execution, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple BAS/BMS projects simultaneously from award through closeout
Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution
Coordinate engineering, programming, commissioning, installation, and service teams
Lead project kickoff meetings, progress reviews, and client updates
Monitor project financial performance and forecast accuracy
Manage subcontractors, vendors, and procurement activities
Review project drawings, specifications, and sequences of operation
Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful delivery
Support change order management and contract administration
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards
Assist with project turnover and long-term customer relationship development
Required Qualifications
5+ years of Building Automation, BMS, BAS, or HVAC Controls experience
Previous Project Management experience within the controls industry
Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and control sequences
Experience managing installation, retrofit, upgrade, and integration projects
Ability to interpret construction drawings, control schematics, and specifications
Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills
Excellent organizational, communication, and financial management abilities
Valid driver's license with ability to travel throughout the Atlanta area
Preferred Experience
Experience with major BAS platforms such as:

Tridium Niagara
Automated Logic
Johnson Controls Metasys
Siemens Desigo
Delta Controls
Distech Controls
PMP certification or equivalent project management training
Experience managing healthcare, higher education, commercial office, industrial, or data center projects
Knowledge of construction contracts and project financials
